What the hell is a blog anyway?
Blog is short for Weblog. Which, for want of a better term is essentially an online journal. Visit www.blogger.com for more details.
Why did you start blogging?
I like writing. I like forcing my opinion on people. I like bitching and whining in the public arena. This is why blogging suited me. Also, as a part of my IB diploma, I had to fulfil a certain number of creativity hours as a requirement. Blogging counted as creative writing, and web design, both creative tasks which gave me the hours I need to pass and get my diploma.
Can I link to your site?
Sure, if you really think the content is worth reading frequently. All I ask is that you send me a courtesy email so I know where I'm linked. Also, for interest's sake, I like to know where I am on the web.
Will you link me if I link you?
What are you? In kindergarten? You're more than welcome to link me. If you send me your URL, I'll certainly check it out, and if you catch me on a good day, there is a decent chance I'll link you up.
Can I have your babies?
Sure, why not? If you're that committed, how can I say no? But don't get the idea I'm easy.
Who are you? What do you do?
You clicked the wrong link. Click the "About" link to learn more.
I have horrible scars all over my upper body. Can you help me?
Sure! Don't cook bacon topless and stay away from midgets with pointy sticks or golf umbrellas.
How can I get in contact with you?
There is, in fact, a dirty great big "CONTACT" link at the top of the page. However, if emails aren't your style, you can always add me to your MSN list through njlucas00@hotmail.com
I don't mean to be rude, but based on what I have read you seem to be a deranged, and barely lucid, alcoholic with an anger control problem and incredibly low tolerance. What is the medical term for what is wrong with you?
I'm a deranged, and barely lucid, alcoholic with an anger control problem and incredibly low tolerance. I thought that was obvious enough.
In your "About" section, you mention many weird nicknames. Could you enlighten us to the origins of some?
The main one, Snowman; originates from one of my favourite books: Dean Koontz's "Seize the Night". The main character has enough attributes in common with me to lead a friend to call me "Snowman" a couple of times. I started using it for an internet moniker. The rest is history.
Anything like "Japan" "left armed Chinaman", "Godzilla" is due to my Japanese background (1/4 if you want to do it that way.)
If you ask any ex-girlfriends of mine, they will probably make the crack that I get "Superman" because I am "faster than a speeding bullet" but that is a HEINOUS LIE! Someone along the way thought that with short hair and glasses, I look akin to Dean Cain of "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman"
Phantom was given to me by a member of staff who had the misfortune of being my extended essay supervisor in Year 12. Being that she always needed to find me and never could. So, she called me "the ghost who walks" on more than one occasion, that of course became Phantom, which I now use to post on various message boards.
As for "Spaceman Nick" fucked if I know. Ask Kiela.
Aren't you worried about how people react to what you write? There’s some controversial stuff in there!
Controversial or not, people have to realise that what I say and post on my blog are only the opinions of me and noone else. I take responsibility for whatever I say. Usually, if real names are used, they are either used in a positive way, or to pay out someone I know can take a joke. I don't use real names to pay out people I don't know (or people who might sue, because I am too poor to handle that)
Why "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow"?
Well, with Snowman as an internet alias and a penchant for the slightly odd, it was the best I could come up with on short notice.
Why does it always rain on me?
Uhm, is it because you lied when you were seventeen?
Do you get a lot of hate mail?
No, I don't. I get some fan mail; there are people out there who enjoy what I'm doing. I'm always happy to respond to emails. If you feel strongly about something in here, feel free to send me hate mail, simply state your business in one word or less, and send it to the email addy provided.
How often do you update?
Uhm, as often as I have something to say. That might be once in a month or 20 times in one day. Basically I ramble a lot, but I have no definitive and fixed update procedure. Contrary to popular belief, I have a life, and things happen where I can't actually spent 24/7 in front of the computer to keep updating.
Who designed your site layout?
The template and background I use are blogger standard, you can access them through the blogger main page. They are of course fully customisable. Changes made in code are either made by me, or someone smart I got to do the job for me. (like Luke, or Dutchy)
Does anyone actually READ your damn blog?
I hope so. Friends of mine mostly. People I hang around with on the weekends, a couple of high school friends who are living OS, people I don't really know but think I'm witty\funny. Mainly people who I know but don't always catch up with them much.
Of course there are complete strangers who just stumble over me in web space; there are readers in a few different countries. Also, at different times, there were teachers of mine reading and so forth. I cant actually SEE who is reading, so I could be famous and not know it.
